A Sampler for Celie

I love samplers as one-of-a-kind records of a person’s history. I also love imagining what fictional characters would include in theirs. The Color Purple is my favorite novel and its protaganist, Celie, means the world to me. This design is the result of asking myself what Celie would put on her sampler. The design includes elements from the novel, both films, and the musical. This is a digital PDF file of a cross stitch pattern. This is not a tangible, stitched final product.
