Description:

The Best Company is a pattern inspired by a quote from the Jane Austen novel Persuasion. I designed this pattern to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the author’s birthday. The design is a fictitious sampler worked by a 13-year-old Anne Elliot, the protagonist of Jane Austen’s 1818 novel Persuasion. It depicts Kellynch Hall (Anne’s ancestral home), and features an adapted quote from the novel.
